The trail ride climbs into the snow-capped mountain tops where riders are often greeted with extremely cold but picturesque weather that includes snow, freezing rain, sleet, ice, water crossings and mud. Wild animals include big horn sheep, wild horses, live stock such as cattle, mountain lions, deer, elk and a variety of other birds and mammals. While the trail choices range from easy to extremely difficult, the experience serves as an outstanding experience that is incredibly beautiful and very tough. The 2007 Best In The Desert (BITD) Racing Association and the Nevada-based Silver State Series takes off-road motorsports adventure to the picturesque mountains of Caliente, Nevada for the 2007 BITD Pro Circuit Nevada 200 Trail Ride. The dirt bike / motorcycle only trail ride is an invitation only event and takes place between March 31 to April 1. The rides begins in Caliente and climbs through the upper elevations of snow-capped mountains. It is not uncommon to see wild horses, deer, elk and other such wildlife. Water crossings, mud holes, single track, cliffs, canyons, sand washes, badlands and many other types of terrain make for memorable trip. Because of the time of year and altitude, the trip can become quite adventurous due to foul weather. Bring warm clothes.
